Our Vision
The vision of The Pampalena C. Watson Excellence in Education Memorial Scholarship is to award one to five scholarships each year based on Executive Board fundraising efforts. The vision is to encourage and celebrate the success of each recipient with an annual scholarship event for as many African American college students as feasible for the generational life of the organization

Our Mission
The mission of The Pampalena C. Watson Excellence in Education Memorial Scholarship is to provide African American college students with resources in order to support their college education. The scholarship is awarded yearly to a well-deserving student who is a high school senior or starting their freshman year enrolled in a 4-year college/university as a Science or Education Major with a 3.0 or higher (high school or college) GPA. Each recipient must use the scholarship funds awarded toward educational expenses (i.e., tuition, textbooks, or technology) in order to alleviate financial gaps which may contribute to unforeseen barriers to begin/continue their college-level education. Preference will be given to students who are pursuing a Science or Education Degree entering their freshman year while applicants in their sophomore year may be considered
